Copenhagen-based ensemble Josephine emerges with a distinctive fusion of ambient dubstep and drum’n’bass, combining electronic production with live instrumentation to create a dark, immersive sonic identity. The trio consists of producer Josephine, drummer Sammy Souland bassist Yasin Saif.
Drawing inspiration from UK bass culture, Josephine’s sound is defined by atmospheric textures, heavy low-end, and a strong sense of rhythmic tension. Their music evokes an urban, dystopian landscape, while their live performances translate this aesthetic into a dynamic and emotionally charged experience—balancing mood, intensity, and precision.Josephine will make their debut on Vicious Records with the EP Unexplained.
The release marks the beginning of a larger body of work, with two additional EPs scheduled to follow, culminating in a full-length album.
